Dear Ame,

Thanks a lot, everything is working now!
Still I have I final question about using Kontakt in Logic Pro. In Kontakt I have the sound library from Symphobia 2. If I load a string section (for example) in channel 1 It consists of 6 different samples in 1 wave editor menu (staccato, legato, effects, etc.) Is there a way to assign these different sounds in 1 channel? (without the need of switching between sounds). Or do I have to assign 6 different channels to this string section (and then every channel has his own sound, so channel 1 staccato, channel 2 legato for example.)

I hope my question is clear.
Best,
A

You have to select it from the I/O button. In the images it is the button above the stereo out button.

Dear sir,

Thanks for your explanation. However I am already stuck in the beginning. I use logic pro 9 and kontakt 5. In the audio units manager, I can see kontakt 5 (successfully Validated) but I don't understand how to open the plug-in. I doesn't show "kontakt 5 anywhere in the channel".
I'm not that familiar with plug-ins yet, but could you give me some 'easy to follow' advise?
I would appreciate it!

Best,
A

Hi Steve,
For years I've been creating MP3s from 24-bit without dithering and this morning I awoke in a panic and asked myself, "Shouldn't I be dithering 24-bit when I go to MP3?" Thanks for calming my fear.

Just got the N.I. VINTAGE ORGANS collection! However, I do not have KONTAKT. I use MixCraft and mostly .wav files- then bounce to Adobe Audition and Premier Pro, etc. I managed to download the Organ files and put them on DVD. But I have no idea how to use them! None of my programs work- and I have many. Are there any programs other than KONTAKT that I can use these .nki files with? Are the .nki files like Loops? AND WHAT IS THIS "USER INTERFACE?" LIMITED TO KONTAKT? I am dying to add these great vintage tones to my work. I know next to nothing about MIDI, and less about Native Instruments. I am using SampleTank with Mixcraft 4- works well- simple, easy, no manual needed. ANY AND ALL INFO/ADVICE/SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! Shiva
